This tool converts volume (µL/mL/L), mass (µg/mg/g/kg), temperature (Celsius/Fahrenheit/Kelvin), pressure (Pascal/atm/bar/mmHg), and time (seconds/minutes/hours) — the five most common unit categories used in general lab work.

How precise are the converted values?

Conversions use standard, exact conversion factors (e.g. 1 mL = 1000 µL) and display results to a reasonable number of significant figures. For temperature, the standard linear conversion formulas between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin are used exactly.

Can I convert concentration units here too?

This tool covers volume, mass, temperature, pressure, and time only. For concentration unit conversions (mg/mL, molarity, % w/v, etc.), use the dedicated Concentration Converter instead, since those conversions require molecular weight for some unit pairs.

Accurate unit conversion prevents costly preparation errors. Key relationships: 1 mL = 1000 µL; 1 L = 1000 mL; 1 g = 1000 mg = 10⁶ µg. Temperature: °C to K, add 273.15. Pressure: 1 atm = 101.325 kPa = 760 mmHg. When reporting in publications, use SI units (L, mL, µL; g, mg, µg; Pa, kPa) unless the journal specifies otherwise.
